Bamboo Airways (QH, Hanoi) is in the process of adding its maiden widebody aircraft, an ex-Vietnam Airlines A330-200. Going forward, the carrier is also eyeing leasing an A380-800 for its touted flights to the United States. David Neeleman is by far one of the most visionary and brilliant airline innovators in aviation history. He was the founder of JetBlue Airways and later on Azul in Brazil. He co-founded Morris Air and West Jet as well. Morris Air was the original charter company which he sold to what is known as Southwest Airlines today. The GE9X is set to be the biggest jet engine in history. It’s wider than the fuselage of a Boeing 737, or as GE puts it, it’s “so large that Shaquille O’Neal would fit inside it with Kobe Bryant sitting on his shoulders.” The GE9X features the largest fan ever produced, a full 11 feet in diameter. It’s also the quietest, most fuel-efficient, the lowest-emission jet engine from General Electric ever.
