Polyphenols Natural Foods Therapy

Change Your Diet = Change Your Life:

Airline travel wreaks havoc on our bodies. We are constantly exposed to a wide variety of germs, bacteria, and viruses onboard aircraft. These effects are worsened due to irregular eating habits combined with our circadian clock being out of balance from unusual sleeping patterns. As well as the onslaught of daily residual exposures from the toxic cocktail of organophosphate poisoning from contaminated cabin air. One of the best things we can do for our health to detox these free radicals and contaminants to activate the immune system is a morning dose of Polyphenols.

Polyphenols are chemicals found in plants that are believed to have important health benefits. Polyphenols help prevent health dangers such as cancer, high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes. Foods high in beneficial polyphenols include red cabbage, berries, red and purple grapes, broccoli, radishes, tea, and apples. Berries-especially raspberries and strawberries–are rich in a polyphenol called ellagic acid. Ellagic acid prevents cancers of the bladder, lung, breast, esophagus and skin. Ellagic acid fought cancer by deactivating certain cancer-causing substances and slowing cancer cell reproduction. Grapes and grape juice, garlic and green tea are also thought to contain polyphenols that prevent cancer.

Resveratrol is a polyphenol found in red wine and grapes that benefits heart health. People who eat foods rich in polyphenols have lower rates of inflammatory disease and mortality. Polyphenols are phytochemicals, meaning compounds found abundantly in natural plant food sources that have antioxidant properties. Polyphenols play an important role in maintaining your health and wellness. They work as Antioxidants to help protect the cells in your body from free radical damage, thereby controlling the rate at which you age. If your body does not get adequate protection, free radicals can become rampant, causing your cells to perform poorly. This can lead to tissue degradation and put you at risk of diseases such as heart disease, cancer, and Alzheimer’s disease.

This is my own personal blend that I do every morning at breakfast time that is packed with a great blend of Polyphenols to start your day.
