Airlines Say NO to Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Onboard:

“The Federal Aviation Administration strongly advises passengers not to turn on or charge these devices on board aircraft and not to stow them in any checked baggage.”

Many airlines are following that guidance, which explains the announcements I heard on my United flights this weekend.

If lithium ion batteries causing problems on planes sounds familiar, that may be because of some high profile incidents on Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner jets a few years back (the problems have since been fixed).
